Google’s regional head talks about the future of digital in Pakistan

Farhan Qureshi, the regional head for Google in South Asia, gave us some good news: Google is extremely interested and invested in Pakistan.

A country with an estimated 45 million people connected to the internet and over 60% of people still in their youth, is a country with a lot of potential and tremendous room for opportunity, he says.

A graduate of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and Boston University, Qureshi himself has closely watched the region’s growth in the digital sphere. He is a communication and media strategist with over 15 years of experience and has worked in diverse markets, including the United States, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. In his time in the US, Qureshi worked at Millward Brown on communication research engagements with the leading Fortune 500 companies that include organisations such as Coca-Cola, Pfizer, American Express and IBM.

In his interview to VCast Online, Google’s South Asia manager talks about the future of digital in Pakistan and why the digital space needs to stop being an afterthought for companies.
